Vanessa can present as a mystery wrapped in lace and venom, with perfect composure and a morbid humor, and most have trouble getting to know her further. She is particular (but rarely sensible) with who she allows close. Despite her fascination for the macabre and forbidden, Vanessa's loyalty is unwavering.
Able to utilize psychic abilities, blood magic, and other dark spellcraft, Vanessa only uses these 'gifts' because she has no other choice. She's been haunted all her life, literally and figuratively, because she can't escape the burden in her blood. She's the reincarnation of Amunet; first a mother to the gods, and now cursed to become the mother of evil and usher in the end of days. Her desire to be good is always battling her innately dark urges.

Fighting: She's feral if she has to be. She's good with firearms (if she can find one) and curses (when they work). Uninvited physical restraint or caging will trigger past trauma and might cause her to crash out.
Injury: She's only slightly more resilient than the average human. Beat her up, but discuss before maiming.
Death: Sure, but only with OOC discussion.
Mental/Emotional manipulation: Yes, if your character can manipulate a manipulator. She's perceptive, suspicious, and randomly psychic, but her powers are unreliable. Vanessa has weaknesses that can be exploited such as her dark urges, her deep guilt, a fear of loneliness and rejection, and a desire for acceptance.
Psychic manipulation: No full compulsion without possession, but if your character is powerful enough (God-like), they might be able to psychically influence Vanessa. They have a better chance if their alignment is dark/chaotic/evil, which can seduce her. She has a powerful psychic presence that can be difficult to break through for most, and she can create protective wards, but these will be weakened and unreliable in-game. All of the above mental weaknesses can be exploited here, too.
